Our client is an established Japanese main contractor with a strong track record of building projects in Singapore.

To support ongoing project expansion, they are currently looking for an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) cum Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to manage and enhance site safety, environmental compliance and workplace health standards.

Job Description:

• Develop, implement and maintain the site Workplace Safety & Health Management System in line with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Carry out site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with permit-to-work procedures.
• Organize and lead toolbox briefings, safety meetings, training sessions and safety campaigns to strengthen safety culture.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; propose corrective actions and monitor the completion of follow-up measures.
• Keep safety and environmental documentation up to date for regulatory inspections, internal audits and management system requirements.
• Coordinate with MOM, NEA, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on all safety and environmental matters.
• Supervise environmental control measures, including vector control, environmental monitoring and Environmental Control Programme (ECP) compliance.
• Assist the Project Manager with site safety planning, worker welfare, emergency preparedness and adherence to developer requirements.

Job Requirements

• Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
• Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with NEA.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety legislation, environmental regulations and relevant management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Working days : 5 days work week
• Salary : Up to $7,000 and OT
