Test Analyst - Quality Assurance

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Test Analyst to become a key member of our quality assurance team within the financial services industry. This role is vital in assuring the integrity, dependability, and security of our core banking systems, digital platforms, and payment processing applications.

You will collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to perform both System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). As a conduit between technical specialists and business users, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical for successful performance in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Execution: Conduct thorough execution of predefined test cases and scripts for SIT and UAT phases, ensuring timely completion and compliance with financial regulations and quality standards.
• Defect Management: Detect, document, monitor, and re-validate software defects utilizing standard defect-tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM.
• UAT Support: Assist business units—including operations, risk management, and product teams—during UAT cycles by explaining test scenarios, guiding test execution, and clarifying expected outcomes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to troubleshoot issues, define functional requirements, and facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Test Reporting: Deliver detailed daily reports on test progress and defect statuses to the Test Lead or Manager.
• Documentation & Record-Keeping: Help maintain comprehensive test logs, traceability matrices, and final test summary reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Between 1 to 3 years of practical experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably within banking, fintech, or financial services sectors.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Proven hands-on experience conducting System Integration Testing (SIT) and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to interpret complex technical or banking system terminology into accessible language for business users and vice versa.
• Proficiency with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or HP ALM/QC.
• Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail, complemented by a proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments.
