Role Overview

The Migration Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in the transformation of core banking systems, specifically focusing on the migration of client, account, and transaction data into Temenos Transact T24. As a vital team member within the program, the BA will merge business knowledge with technical skills to ensure data transitions are accurate, auditable, and compliant, while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and adherence to regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

· Facilitate and lead migration workshops with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and IT teams to establish data sources, transformation rules, and acceptance criteria.

· Document, review, and secure sign-off on all outcomes from workshops, including decisions, open points, and exceptions.

· Convert business requirements into comprehensive data mapping specifications that link legacy systems to T24 entities (e.g., CUSTOMER, ACCOUNT, SAM, CONTRACT, POSITION, LEDGER, FEES & CHARGES, ETC.).

· Supervise the build activities of the migration development team and manage the testing process to ensure deliverables meet established specifications.

· Execute and/or oversee test scenarios, including data extraction, transformation logic, file formatting (FBF), and validation of loads in T24 environments (DEV → UAT → PROD).

· Conduct reconciliations and gap analyses to confirm the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of migrated data.

· Collaborate closely with developers and testers to report, track, and revalidate any defects.

· Create and maintain detailed documentation, including workshop summaries, mapping documents, test scripts, evidence packs, and handover materials.

· Ensure compliance with the principles of the Swiss Banking Act (BA), data protection laws, and regulatory reporting requirements (FATCA, MIFID, CRS, AML/KYC).

Essential Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field.

· At least 8-10 years of experience in banking IT projects, ideally within private banking or wealth management.

· Demonstrated involvement in at least one T24 implementation or migration program in a functional or business analyst capacity.

· Solid understanding of Temenos Transact T24, including navigation (FI, DD), versioning (TVMM), workflows, and products.

· Practical experience with data migration testing, validation techniques, and defect management.

· Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and data quality.

· Proficient in stakeholder engagement, requirement gathering, and conflict resolution.

Desired Attributes

· T24 certification (e.g., Temenos TLC and TCCP certification) in Private Banking modules such as Securities, Derivatives, Structured Products, Fiduciary, Forex, Financial Reporting.

· Knowledge of Triple A Plus products.

· Familiarity with jBASE, TAFC, SQL, or scripting languages for data validation tasks.

· Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar for task tracking and documentation management.

Accountabilities

· Complete ownership of migration analysis, workshop facilitation, and documentation of outputs.

· Full accountability for validating deliverables from the migration development team through structured testing and reconciliation processes.

· Provision of migration assets that are suitable for audit, governance review, and operational handover.
