Key Responsibilities in This Role:

• Comprehend the Project/Work Scope, strategize, and deliver high-quality outputs to align with the expected timelines and schedules.
• Engage in Customized Design and value engineering related to cylinders, actuators, and valves.
• Create 3D solid models and assemblies.
• Finalize drawings, including tolerance studies, GD&T, and analysis of fits and clearances.
• Generate engineering documentation, including the bill of materials.
• Assist in cost reduction and rationalization initiatives within the Cylinder product line.
• Test products in the lab while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Contribute to initiatives assigned to EIC-Pune.
• Collaborate with local and global team members to meet and enhance product design requirements.
• Take on additional roles and responsibilities as necessary.
• Maintain adherence to quality processes, ensuring on-time delivery and quality of deliverables.
• Coordinate and communicate results effectively with team members.
• A strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Support various organizational initiatives, including Innovation, Safety, Customer focus, and processes.

Requirements for This Role:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with relevant experience in the actuators, cylinders, and valve domain, ranging from 8 to 14 years.
• Familiarity with various standards applicable to the cylinder product line, including NFPA, ISO, FDA, etc.
• Understanding of elastomers utilized in cylinders.
• Solid knowledge of cylinder configurations, referencing catalogs.
• Proficiency in software: Expert level in Creo, and familiarity with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Competence in Windchill PDMLink.
• Mastery of strong modeling and drafting practices.
• Practical knowledge of GD&T, tolerance studies, and international standards.
• Basic understanding of pneumatically operated solenoid direction control valves and air preparation valves.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, stamping, and plastic molding is desirable.
• Awareness of surface treatment processes like anodizing and nickel plating.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
• Effective lateral thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
