Solution Architect (Cloud)

Position: Solution Architect

Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for renewal)

Work Location: Singapore

Overview

In the role of Solution Architect, you will spearhead the architecture and design of cloud-native applications from inception to completion. You will collaborate with an agile team dedicated to developing products utilized by the Financial Industry specifically for Financial Supervision functions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders and product owners to conceptualize Solution Architecture and Design.
• Oversee the implementation process to ensure alignment with the proposed solutions and designs.
• Provide support to development teams through expert advice and guidance in addressing technical challenges, including code reviews.
• Enhance software quality by applying cloud-native and Agile development methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams on test automation initiatives and identify potential technical challenges.
• Partner with other architects to ensure consistency in the design of reusable libraries.
• Coordinate with various technical teams (such as Infrastructure, Enterprise, Applications, Security) to establish infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, application integrations, and troubleshoot deployment and integration issues.
• Conduct experiments and develop prototypes for exploratory projects.

Qualifications

• A solid bachelor's degree or master's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience in application development, design, and business analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of solution architectures and integration patterns.
• Proven ability to design and develop large-scale applications that address complex business challenges.
• Expertise in .Net, Java, React.js, Node.js, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with multi-paradigm programming languages.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle within an Agile Scrum framework.
• Knowledge of OAuth2/OpenID connect protocols.
• Hands-on experience with containers, microservices, and DevSecOps technologies.
• Familiar with cloud-native technologies.
• Experience in application design and development in an AWS cloud environment; AWS cloud technology certification is preferred.
• Solid understanding of SRE/Service/Security/Compliance Management processes, including change, incident, and problem management on cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and delivering results promptly.
• Creative problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
