Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Software Developer, your main responsibilities will include:
Design, build, test, and troubleshoot clearly defined features, enhancements, and bug fixes for Kafka Connect connectors that integrate with external data systems.
Create maintainable, production-ready code backed by thorough unit, integration, and system testing.
Help develop technical designs for your assigned work by outlining and documenting proposed approaches, and take part in code reviews.
Support operational readiness and reliability for connectors used by production customers, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Analyze customer-reported and production issues, contributing to root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
1-3 years of professional software development experience building and supporting backend services in production.
Proficiency in a major programming language, preferably Java, including a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core software design principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and problems.
Ability to work effectively within a team, incorporate feedback, and deliver well-scoped tasks with direction from senior engineers.
Customer-focused mindset, with interest in operating and improving dependable production services.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Working knowledge of Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, or event streaming systems.
Experience building integrations with databases or data platforms.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and technologies including Docker or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with observability tools, including metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
