Job Title: Platform Lead Guidewire

• As the Platform Lead, you will play a critical role in improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Guidewire SaaS platform, while streamlining development and deployment processes. You will oversee the entire Guidewire DevOps lifecycle, test automation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery and deployment of Guidewire solutions.

What will your essential responsibilities include

• Develop and implement a DevOps strategy that aligns with business objectives and accelerates delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for applications to enhance release management efficiency (e.g., Insurance Workbench).
• Own the Quality Engineering and test automation strategy, roadmap, KPIs, standards, and practices for the platform and agile product teams.
• Review product team requirements and propose test automation solutions to increase efficiency.
• Mentor and work alongside product Scrum teams, providing guidance on test automation best practices.
• Manage and optimize environments (sandbox, development, testing, and production) to maintain stability and consistency.
• Plan and coordinate release schedules, including release notes, rollback plans, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure deployed code meets security and compliance standards, including data protection and privacy regulations, by putting in place appropriate security checks.
• Deploy monitoring tools and practices to proactively detect and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Find automation opportunities within the DevOps lifecycle to reduce manual effort.
• Lead and mentor DevOps/Test Automation/Release & Platform engineers, the Guidewire platform Platform architect, and collaborate across cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality solutions. Provide technical direction and promote best practices across the DevOps process.
• Advocate for a product-led agile approach to development, aligning team execution with product vision, customer needs, and business goals.
• Report to the Head of Digital Factory Delivery.
  
  

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills And Abilities

Proficiency in JAVA/.NET/JS for test automation /Test Automation Frameworks.

Experience with CI/CD tools (Harness, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Datadog, teamcity etc.).

Deep understanding in Security testing tools ( CheckMarx, SonarQube etc)

Microfocus Testing tools (ALM QC ,PC & UFT) & JMETER.

Proven experience as a Platform Lead, with a track record of successfully delivering complex Guidewire cloud solutions in complex enterprise environments; insurance domain expertise is a plus.

Strong proficiency in DevOps tools such as Harness, Dynatrace, Git, Bitbucket, and Datadog.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Design Thinking, UX, CX, BPMN, and cloud-based integration.

Significant leadership and communication skills, including the ability to effectively guide and collaborate with development product squads, stakeholders, and business users.

A deep understanding of (Scaled) Agile principles and a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Ability to adjust to evolving product requirements and embrace emerging technologies and industry trends.

Familiarity with agile tools and software, including JIRA and Confluence.

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.

Familiarity with JIRA & JIRA X-Ray, Azure, GHE, JFrog/Nexus Artifactory.
