Site Survey Lead (IoT Projects)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Site Survey Lead to facilitate the deployment of IoT and smart equipment across various school locations. This position involves executing site surveys, creating Bills of Materials (BOM), managing installation procedures, and aiding in the integration and commissioning of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Site Survey & Assessment

• Perform site surveys at educational institutions to evaluate current infrastructure and identify requirements for smart equipment.
• Document site conditions, technical specifications, and potential challenges to implementation.
• Evaluate optimal placements for sensors and devices, including energy meters, water meters, occupancy sensors, temperature sensors, and IoT controllers.

BOM Development

• Create Bills of Materials (BOM) in accordance with findings from site surveys and project specifications.
• Ensure that materials and equipment meet project criteria and technical standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers to verify material availability.

Installation Coordination

• Organize and oversee installation activities in collaboration with subcontractors.
• Offer technical support and installation guidelines.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure installation progress and quality assurance.
• Confirm that all work adheres to safety protocols, school regulations, and project standards.

IoT Integration & Commissioning

• Assist in the integration of newly installed smart devices with the IoT platform.
• Work alongside technical teams for device configuration, testing, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with the IoT platform team to resolve connectivity and integration challenges.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with school representatives to schedule site surveys, installations, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Provide updates on project status and synchronize schedules with relevant stakeholders.
• Address inquiries from school personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive records of site surveys, installation logs, testing outcomes, and other project-related documentation.
• Deliver regular progress reports to the project team.
• Compile handover documentation upon the conclusion of each project.

Background & Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• A Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Building Services, or related fields is preferred
• Experience or enthusiasm for IoT, facilities management, building automation, or engineering projects is favorable
• Familiarity with MOE projects or environments in the education sector is a plus

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of (or a willingness to learn about) IoT devices, sensors, and building automation systems
• Basic understanding of network connectivity and system integration
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes
• Ability to swiftly adapt to new technologies and systems
