Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 7 to 10 years of expertise to join our vibrant team in Petaling Jaya. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive grasp of Site Reliability Engineering principles and practices, ensuring our systems' reliability, availability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with both development and operations teams to create and sustain scalable and resilient infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and oversee scalable and reliable systems and services.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.

• Develop and sustain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to enhance system reliability and performance.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to optimize software delivery.

• Conduct post-incident reviews and enact improvements to avoid future occurrences.

• Participate in on-call rotations and address incidents as they arise.

• Document processes, systems, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Skills:

• Robust knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).

• Knowledge of database management and optimization (SQL, NoSQL).

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Certifications in cloud technologies or SRE practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 7 to 10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale systems and services.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
