Job Description
Job Summary
Lead Principal Architect position within a global organization responsible for delivering robust enterprise solutions for contract authoring, sale-buy, and complex contract and agreement workflows using iCertis in a hybrid work model. The role centers on designing scalable, secure, and compliant platforms that streamline contract lifecycle management, support business growth during day shift operations, and requires no travel.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive enterprise architectures for contract authoring and sale-buy processes, ensuring seamless integration of contract and agreement workflow activities with iCertis platforms to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for global business operations.
- Produce both high-level and detailed solution designs to optimize contract lifecycle management, including authoring, negotiation, approval, and archiving, while maintaining strong alignment with compliance and risk management objectives.
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and implementation teams to define clear functional and nonfunctional requirements for contract systems, ensuring architectural decisions reflect strategic priorities and operational constraints.
- Lead technical teams in implementing iCertis-based solutions by providing clear architectural blueprints, patterns, and standards that encourage reuse, robustness, and ease of maintenance across hybrid work settings.
- Assess existing contract management landscapes to identify gaps and inefficiencies, then recommend architectural improvements and modernization strategies that increase automation, traceability, and user satisfaction.
- Own integration architecture between iCertis contract platforms and adjacent enterprise systems, including customer relationship platforms, resource planning tools, and document repositories, to ensure consistent data flow and accurate reporting.
- Set up governance for contract-related solution design, including reference architectures, coding guidelines, performance benchmarks, and quality checks to uphold high standards across day shift delivery teams.
- Conduct architectural reviews and risk assessments for new contract features and enhancements, with emphasis on scalability, security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements to protect organizational assets and maintain stakeholder trust.
- Mentor senior engineers and solution designers in advanced architecture practices for contract authoring and agreement management, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in hybrid collaboration environments.
- Collaborate with operations and support teams to design resilient architectures for monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning of contract solutions, ensuring high availability and predictable service levels.
- Investigate emerging technologies and advanced analytics to improve contract authoring processes and agreement insights, including opportunities related to cheminformatics and bioinformatics domains where applicable.
- Maintain clear, accessible documentation of architecture decisions, implementation guidelines, and best practices so cross-functional teams can consistently deliver contract solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Work with business leaders to convert long-term contract management strategies into actionable architectural roadmaps, demonstrating how proposed solutions improve efficiency, compliance, and societal trust in fair, transparent agreements.
Qualifications
- Have extensive experience as an architect delivering contract authoring, sale-buy solutions, with deep exposure to contracts and agreements workflows and strong proficiency in designing platforms around iCertis technology.
- Demonstrate strong enterprise architecture skills, including component design, integration patterns, security design, and performance optimization, specifically applied to contract lifecycle management systems.
- Bring hands-on experience implementing or overseeing iCertis-based solutions, with a proven record of delivering stable, scalable, and configurable contract platforms in complex organizational environments.
- Show the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, legal specialists, and engineering staff, ensuring contract solution designs accurately reflect business rules and regulatory obligations.
- Display a solid understanding of data modeling and information architecture for contract repositories, including clauses, counterparties, obligations, and metadata, to enable robust search, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
- Possess domain familiarity in cheminformatics or bioinformatics as a nice to have skill that supports better architectural alignment when contract solutions enable research innovation or life sciences related operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in hybrid work practices, including remote collaboration, documentation discipline, and use of shared tools to maintain clear and consistent architecture communication across distributed day shift teams.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to evaluating trade-offs among architectural options, ensuring contract solutions balance cost, resilience, flexibility, and business value.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts in simple, persuasive language to senior stakeholders, enabling informed decisions about investments in contract platforms and related transformation initiatives.
- Show commitment to continuous learning in contract technologies, compliance standards, and enterprise architecture frameworks so solutions remain current with evolving business and societal expectations.
