Senior Software Engineer B2

Job Summary

Sr Software Engineer (B2) position for an experienced professional with proven expertise in AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, PL SQL, and mySQL. This role focuses on designing scalable hybrid cloud applications to improve performance, uphold code quality, and work with cross-functional teams within a flexible hybrid work model—no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Design robust, scalable backend services with Java and Spring Boot to support critical business applications and ensure dependable transaction processing
• Build secure, efficient cloud-native solutions using AWS services to enhance application performance and operational resilience
• Develop complex SQL and PL SQL logic to handle large data sets while maintaining data integrity, consistency, and accuracy
• Optimize mySQL relational database structures and queries to reduce latency and improve overall application responsiveness
• Create responsive, accessible user interfaces with JavaScript to provide consistent, intuitive user experiences across browsers
• Partner with product owners, architects, and testers to refine requirements and deliver incremental value in a hybrid work environment
• Follow secure coding practices and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and reduce production defects
• Automate unit, integration, and regression testing to strengthen reliability and enable safe, faster deployment of new features and enhancements
• Use observability tools to monitor application health and performance, uncover bottlenecks, and proactively resolve technical issues
• Participate in technical design discussions and documentation efforts to ensure shared understanding and maintainable solutions for complex systems
• Mentor junior engineers on coding standards, design patterns, and best practices to improve team capability and productivity
• Coordinate with DevOps teams to streamline build and deployment pipelines on AWS and support continuous integration and delivery practices
• Lead continuous improvement by analyzing production incidents and implementing sustainable corrective actions that strengthen system stability
• Ensure engineering solutions reflect company objectives, supporting the responsible use of technology and delivering positive outcomes for customers and society

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale applications using Java and Spring Boot within complex ecosystems
• Prove strong proficiency in building and optimizing SQL and PL SQL queries in mySQL and related relational database platforms for high-volume workloads
• Show hands-on expertise with core AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and managed databases, to deliver resilient cloud solutions
• Apply strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend development practices to integrate intuitive interfaces with backend services
• Use practical understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented principles to create maintainable and testable codebases
• Demonstrate familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance standards applicable to cloud-hosted applications in a multinational environment
• Have experience working in hybrid agile teams, collaborating via digital tools to deliver features on time with consistent quality

Certifications Required

AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate preferred, plus any Java or SQL certification
