Senior Software Developer

The role involves defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining both new and existing software applications to meet business needs, taking on a leadership position. This encompasses writing, coding, unit testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate closely with Technical Solutions, Business Analysts, and System Analysts to conceptualize and develop new software programs or enhance existing applications through coding;
2. Partner with System Analysts and Business Analysts to establish software requirements and evaluate the feasibility of designs within established time and budget constraints;
3. Create documentation as required, ensuring compliance with company documentation standards;
4. Work alongside the Application Development Manager to establish coding standards for use by other developers;
5. Guide the team in understanding technical architecture, system design, code reviews, and other relevant technical areas;
6. Confirm the application system testing (including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, etc.) conducted by developers, and perform testing as necessary.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related IT field;
2. A minimum of five years of experience in software development within an application development environment;
3. Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing large-scale, complex software applications;
4. Proficient in at least one programming language such as JAVA, Microsoft .Net (C#, VB.Net, C++), JavaScript/JSON, and capable of mentoring junior team members to improve their software development skills;
5. Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and relational database design;
6. Capability to work with a range of requirements, from basic to complex;
7. Thorough knowledge of coding methods and industry best practices;
8. Effective communication skills to interact with non-technical personnel and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
