Core Responsibilities

Reporting Solutions Development (Main Focus)

Create, develop, implement, and sustain reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Translate business needs into functional and user-centric reports.

Design and enhance report datasets, parameters, subscriptions, and scheduling.

Generate operational, management, financial, regulatory, and on-demand reports.

Diagnose report performance issues and enhance data retrieval efficiency.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and assess reporting requirements.

Guarantee report accuracy, consistency, and prompt delivery.

Database Development & Support

Design and manage Microsoft SQL Server database objects, which include:

Stored Procedures

Functions

Views

Triggers

Create and refine T-SQL scripts to fulfill reporting and integration needs.

Conduct query analysis and performance optimization.

Assist in troubleshooting production database issues and resolving them.

Oversee and support SQL Server Agent jobs.

ETL & Data Integration

Design and maintain ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

Create and uphold system interfaces and integration workflows.

Conduct data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.

Resolve integration and data transfer challenges.

Automation, Secure File Transfer & Encryption

Develop operational and monitoring scripts through PowerShell.

Facilitate automated file transfers utilizing SSH/SFTP.

Support data encryption and decryption procedures using PGP/GPG.

Automate reporting and file processing tasks.

Oversee and support batch processing operations.

Production Support

Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 support for reporting, database, and integration-related issues.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions.

Assist with deployment, change management, and disaster recovery efforts.

Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

Documentation & Governance

Maintain technical documentation and operational guidelines.

Draft report specifications, data mappings, and support documentation.

Ensure adherence to internal security, audit, and governance protocols.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related fields.

Experience

At least 3 to 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies.

Extensive hands-on experience in SSRS report development.

Experience in supporting production reporting environments.

Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
