Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Back-End Developer with a focus on Cloud technologies, you will operate within an agile and collaborative setting across numerous Cloud platforms, utilizing your knowledge in multi-cloud environments, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). You will work alongside cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Design and Develop Cloud Solutions: Plan, analyze, design, and construct databases, adhering to industry standards and best practices for database security while defining database and information security requirements.
- Develop RESTful APIs and Web Services: Create and utilize RESTful APIs and web services, employing object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and concurrency principles.
- Implement Database Security: Formulate structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, and NoSQL queries, ensuring database security and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate on Open Source Projects: Engage in open source software initiatives, effectively collaborating with open source communities and promoting community best practices within IBM processes.
- Deliver Cloud-Based Solutions: Design and deploy cloud-based solutions on platforms such as IBM Cloud, PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, leveraging your expertise in container applications utilizing Kubernetes.

- Cloud Development Expertise: Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable and secure cloud solutions across various cloud platforms, including IBM Cloud, PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Multi-Cloud Environment Knowledge: Familiarity with multi-cloud environments, encompassing public, private, and hybrid clouds, as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Database Development Skills: Expertise in planning, analyzing, designing, and constructing databases, implementing best practices for database security, and defining database and information security requirements.
- Programming Language Proficiency: Proficient in programming languages including Go, Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js, and server-side JavaScript, along with experience in developing structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, and NoSQL queries.
- Open Source Contribution: Demonstrated experience in contributing to open source software, effectively engaging with open source communities, and promoting community best practices within IBM processes.
- Familiarity with Kata: Experience with Kata, particularly its application within containerized environments and potential integration with other technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Operators: Understanding the function of Operators in task automation, with experience utilizing them in cloud-based environments.
- SDN and Network Resiliency: Experience with Software Defined Networks (SDN) and concepts of Network Resiliency, including their implementation within cloud settings.
