As an early pioneer of React Native, MoneyLion currently manages one of the most comprehensive React Native applications available in app stores. As a React Native engineer, you will bring a wealth of experience in various aspects of RN development, including state management and creating appealing user interfaces.
The MoneyLion mobile team values effective communication, thorough documentation, and meticulous instrumentation. With a rapidly expanding user base that includes hundreds of thousands of daily active users, our primary focus is on ensuring stability and delivering an exceptional user experience. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our platform, ensuring our features are not only high-performing but also visually appealing. Collaborating closely with design, product, and the engineering team, you'll help create a seamless experience for our users while maintaining a strong foundation to enhance the value of ML membership.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to conceptualize and develop new features for the MoneyLion mobile application
- Collect specific requirements and propose solutions
- Create unit and UI tests to detect issues
- Debug and troubleshoot to enhance performance
- Assist the QA team in testing and debugging processes
- Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and recommend new products and tools to enhance the development process and application quality
- Identify architectural challenges and design effective solutions
- Mentor junior engineers
- Align technical priorities with business objectives and provide insightful feedback to feature owners
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a software engineer (experience as a tech lead is an advantage)
- Demonstrated experience in developing functional mobile applications (native, React Native, or hybrid), as well as NodeJS applications (server-side)
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Javascript (Typescript is a plus), Java, Swift
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- Knowledge of Functional Programming is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
- BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field
