Senior MLOps Engineer

As a MLOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing the future of MoneyLion's machine learning platform and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include spearheading initiatives that facilitate the scalable deployment of machine learning solutions. This will involve proactively designing, prototyping, and consistently refining the foundational machine learning infrastructure to eliminate bottlenecks and accelerate the modeling lifecycle. Additionally, you will collaborate with AI DevOps, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and AI Engineers to define, establish, and uphold best practices across MoneyLion.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, and prototype MLOps methodologies, tools, and frameworks to streamline the machine learning lifecycle at MoneyLion.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and AI/ML Engineering teams to improve inter-team workflows and shorten deployment timelines.
• Enhance the automation levels within the development and deployment processes of machine learning.
• Work closely with IT operations and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure platforms with other applications and processes.
• Establish and maintain monitoring systems for machine learning models in production, overseeing the development of these models to ensure proper governance.
• Manage cloud infrastructure expenses by monitoring and optimizing costs, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial matters.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Ensure the reliability of MLOps platforms and solutions, which includes participating in an on-call rotation to handle critical incidents as needed.

About You

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles. Familiar with software development standards and best practices in an enterprise context, including code patterns, code reviews, test-driven development, and unit testing.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes is essential, with a preference for experience in EKS within a production setting. Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes architecture and its components is required.
• Capable of evaluating and implementing best practices and new technologies to improve application performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, complemented by effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Skilled in designing and delivering applications that provide a superior user experience for data analysts and scientists.
• Ability to maintain multiple codebases while conducting code reviews or engaging in pair programming to ensure high-quality code standards.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools such as DVC, MLFlow, Metaflow, and Ray is preferred.
