About the Role

We are in search of a distinguished and forward-thinking Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP Finance & Operations (F&O) Solutions Architect to spearhead our enterprise digital transformation projects. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in the industry, you will play a pivotal role in the design, architecture, governance, and implementation of robust, scalable, and high-performing ERP solutions.

Located in Batu Gajah, Perak, Malaysia, this position presents a unique opportunity to direct strategic implementations within complex business settings (including heavy manufacturing, engineering, or logistics), while aligning advanced technology with the goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Governance

• Oversee the complete architectural design of D365 F&O solutions, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards, scalability, and best practices.

• Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints, technical specifications, and system integration strategies.

• Create development guidelines, code review processes, and governance frameworks to ensure high-quality system implementations.

• Define and manage the overall environment topology, release management strategy, and deployment pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).

Technical & Functional Leadership

• Serve as the primary technical authority on complex D365 F&O challenges, addressing critical performance issues, data integrity concerns, and architectural deficiencies.

• Act as a liaison between business requirements and technical execution, converting intricate functional demands into effective technical solutions.

• Mentor, guide, and lead teams comprising technical developers, functional analysts, and systems integrators.

• Promote the adoption of modern practices, including the utilization of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Azure services.

Integration & Data Migration Strategy

• Design seamless integration solutions connecting D365 F&O with third-party legacy applications, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), PLM, WMS, and external APIs.

• Formulate robust data migration methodologies, detailing ETL pipelines, data validation, and historical data reconciliation frameworks.

• Implement high-capacity data architectures utilizing D365 Data Management Framework (DMF), OData, BYOD (Bring Your Own Database), and Azure Data Lake storage.

Stakeholder & Change Management

• Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, steering committees, and business unit leaders, effectively communicating technical risks, timelines, and architectural trade-offs.

• Conduct feasibility studies and Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA) for requested customizations versus standard product functionalities.

• Support change management and business process reengineering to ensure users derive maximum value from the standard D365 features.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• D365 Core Development: Advanced skills in X++, C#, .NET, and SQL Server.

• Microsoft Cloud Stack: Profound understanding of Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management) and Microsoft Power Platform.

• LCS & ALM: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS) for environment management, diagnostic tools, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

• Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of D365 security role design, licensing compliance, and data privacy regulations.

Functional & Domain Expertise

• Supply Chain Management (SCM): Inventory management, procurement, sourcing, warehousing, and logistics.

• Manufacturing: Discrete and process manufacturing, production control, and capacity planning.

• Finance: General ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, costing, and localized tax compliance in Malaysia.

• Experience in large-scale industrial, engineering, or manufacturing enterprise operations is highly preferred.

Professional & Interpersonal Skills

• Proven experience leading at least 3-4 full lifecycle, multi-phase global implementations of D365 F&O as a Lead/Principal Architect.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.

• Proficient command of English (both written and spoken).
