Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are in search of an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who can take charge of developing intricate electro-mechanical products from initial concept to final production. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in mechanism design, a solid foundation in engineering principles, and a proven track record of converting product requirements into dependable, manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create mechanical mechanisms, modules, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Lead the product development process from concept and prototyping to validation and production launch.
• Conduct engineering calculations, including motor sizing, torque, gear ratios, and tolerance analysis.
• Develop and refine mechanisms that incorporate gears, cams, linkages, motors, and power transmission systems.
• Utilize GD&T, DFM/DFA, and FEA methodologies to guarantee robust and manufacturable designs.
• Design components using machining, sheet metal, plastics, die-casting, and other manufacturing techniques.
• Identify and resolve design and production challenges while driving product enhancements.
• Collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Software teams, suppliers, and other cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience in mechanical and mechanism design.
• Proven ability to take products from concept through to production.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Inventor, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering analysis techniques.
• Experience with motors, motion systems, and mechanical calculations.
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and FEA is a plus.
