Job Summary

Work as a senior software developer delivering automotive manufacturing solutions by integrating Opcenter Exec Discrete Process and Teamcenter with enterprise systems. Ensure strong verify and validate practices to achieve high quality outcomes in a hybrid work model without travel, supporting innovation across the global automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Design and implement high-quality manufacturing applications that leverage Opcenter Exec Discrete Process capabilities to streamline core production workflows for automotive clients in a hybrid work environment.

Build dependable, scalable extensions in Teamcenter to manage product data and process information, enabling engineering and manufacturing teams to collaborate effectively throughout the automotive lifecycle.

Configure Opcenter Exec Discrete Process rules and objects to enable traceability, genealogy, and compliance for critical automotive parts and assemblies.

Use rigorous verify and validate practices for all implemented features to ensure functional correctness, performance efficiency, and alignment with automotive regulations and safety expectations.

Partner with multidisciplinary stakeholders across manufacturing engineering, quality, and IT to convert automotive industry requirements into detailed technical designs and user-friendly solutions.

Improve application logic, database interactions, and interfaces so that shop floor and engineering users receive responsive and reliable system performance during day shifts.

Produce clear, maintainable technical documentation covering solution design, configuration choices, integration patterns, and verify and validate procedures for future reference.

Perform root cause analysis for defects detected during verify and validate cycles and production incidents, then implement targeted fixes to prevent repeat issues and strengthen system stability.

Work with testing teams to define test scenarios and data sets designed for automotive manufacturing use cases, including complex bill of materials, routings, and process parameters.

Provide peer guidance on best practices for using Opcenter Exec Discrete Process and Teamcenter in the automotive domain to maximize reuse, ensure consistent execution, and improve solution quality.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating existing implementations and proposing enhancements that increase throughput, reduce rework, and support sustainable manufacturing objectives.

Ensure that all developed features and integrations meet enterprise security standards, data integrity expectations, and requirements for confidential handling of product design information.

Share project progress, risks, and technical options with project partners in a clear and concise manner to support informed decision-making and predictable delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

6 to 9 years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong focus on manufacturing execution and product lifecycle solutions in the automotive industry.

Advanced experience configuring and extending Opcenter Exec Discrete Process modules to address complex automotive production and quality scenarios.

Demonstrated experience working with Teamcenter for product data management, workflow configuration, and integration with downstream manufacturing systems.

Proven expertise in automotive verify and validate activities, including development of test strategies, execution of functional and integration tests, and documentation of results.

Strong understanding of automotive industry processes including discrete assembly production, part approval, and change management, supported by practical project experience.

Knowledge of relational databases and scripting or programming languages, along with integration techniques, to create robust and maintainable manufacturing solutions.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional automotive teams in a hybrid work environment during day shifts.
