Sr. Product Specialist(T)

Responsibilities

• Create Mendix applications that convert complex business needs into effective, well-structured digital solutions delivering measurable benefits to clients and internal teams within a hybrid work environment.
• Build reusable Mendix components and microflows to enhance performance, strengthen maintainability, and enable consistent implementation of enterprise standards across multiple product lines.
• Configure Mendix data model pages and business logic to support correct processing of business rules, validations, and workflows—reducing manual effort for business users.
• Partner with business analysts and subject matter experts to refine user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring Mendix solutions satisfy functional requirements and non functional expectations.
• Collaborate with quality engineering peers to define test scenarios, support automated testing approaches, and resolve defects promptly to maintain high reliability for Mendix applications.
• Integrate Mendix applications with enterprise systems—such as policy administration, billing, and customer portals—using connectors and services that support secure, consistent data exchange.
• Improve end-user experience by designing pages and navigation flows thoughtfully and ensuring responsive behavior, enabling users to complete tasks efficiently with minimal training.
• Track production usage metrics and user feedback to discover Mendix application improvements and implement enhancements that increase stability, performance, and satisfaction.
• Document solution designs, configuration choices, and operational procedures to support maintainability, audit readiness, and smooth transitions between product releases.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure Mendix deployments align with organizational standards for access control, data protection, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor teammates on Mendix development practices by sharing knowledge of patterns and troubleshooting techniques, and help foster a continuous improvement culture within the product team.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate Mendix capabilities and limitations in clear business terms, supporting informed decisions about product scope and priorities.
• Support company objectives by delivering Mendix solutions that streamline operations, reduce processing time, and improve service outcomes for customers and communities.

Qualifications

• Apply strong Mendix development experience across multiple projects, including expertise in domain modeling, microflows, nanoflows, and page design, to deliver robust low code solutions.
• Use practical knowledge of application lifecycle management in Mendix, including versioning and deployment pipelines, to enable controlled and predictable releases.
• Apply experience with integration patterns, including REST based services and database access within Mendix, to connect applications with core enterprise platforms.
• Leverage knowledge of life and annuities insurance concepts such as policies, premiums, claims, and beneficiary structures to design solutions that reflect real world business processes.
• Bring a strong software engineering foundation, including testing strategies, performance tuning, and error handling, to ensure production-ready Mendix applications.
• Show the ability to work independently in a hybrid work model by managing priorities, communicating progress clearly, and collaborating effectively using digital tools.
• Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate defects, identify root causes within Mendix configurations, and implement durable fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Communicate effectively in both spoken and written formats with technical and non technical partners to explain solution options, tradeoffs, and expected outcomes for each Mendix feature.
