Job Summary

We are seeking an Embedded Engineer with strong Embedded C experience to design, support, and optimize firmware for industrial manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will partner with hardware, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver dependable, efficient, high-performance embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain embedded software applications in Embedded C for industrial controllers, sensors and actuators.
2. Create and implement firmware architectures aligned with hardware capabilities and system requirements.
3. Improve firmware performance to enhance machine cycle times, energy efficiency and manufacturing throughput.
4. Connect embedded software with electronic control units, hardware boards and plant-level systems.
5. Build diagnostics and fault-handling features that strengthen equipment reliability and lower downtime.
6. Carry out code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and firmware validation.
7. Diagnose embedded software and hardware integration problems and apply corrective solutions.
8. Work with hardware engineers, vendors, product managers and process engineering teams.
9. Verify that new boards, sensors and communication modules are compatible with existing systems.
10. Produce technical documentation for software design, interfaces, configurations and test outcomes.
11. Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality procedures and industrial safety requirements.
12. Develop reusable software components and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on Embedded C and embedded firmware development experience.
• Working knowledge of microcontrollers, controllers, sensors and actuators.
• Understanding of embedded software architecture and hardware-software integration.
• Experience with firmware debugging, optimization and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing and code reviews.
• Understanding of diagnostics, fault handling and system reliability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with industrial automation and manufacturing equipment.
• Exposure to Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with communication protocols including CAN, SPI, I2C, UART and Modbus.
• PLC and industrial control system familiarity.
• Experience with hardware debugging tools and oscilloscopes.
• Predictive maintenance and equipment diagnostics knowledge.
• Python scripting and test automation experience.
