Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Security Consultant specializing in Intelligence & Operations, you will help Client IT identify, understand, and address important security issues, exposures, and vulnerabilities. Your skills in security intelligence and operations will support your ability to communicate actionable security strategies and mitigation measures.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop Security Strategies: Use security principles, counter-threat intelligence, and knowledge of security intelligence and operations to create and recommend effective security strategies, programs, plans, and mitigation measures.
• Enhance Security Posture: Apply proactive threat hunting and intelligence-driven defense strategies to strengthen Client IT’s security posture.
• Articulate IBM's SIOC and SIEM: Communicate IBM’s Security Intelligence and Operations Center (SIOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) perspectives, including financial implications.
• Leverage Threat Intelligence: Use hands-on experience with tools such as QRadar to analyze and mitigate a range of cyber threats.
• Collaborate with Clients: Partner with Client IT to understand their security requirements and deliver tailored security solutions.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Security Intelligence Knowledge: Experience with security intelligence and operations, supporting the ability to describe effective security strategies and mitigation measures.
• Threat Analysis Experience: Practical experience using tools such as QRadar to analyze and mitigate cyber threats.
• Counter-Threat Intelligence: Exposure to counter-threat intelligence concepts and practices to guide security strategy development.
• Security Strategy Development: Experience applying security principles to develop and recommend effective security strategies, programs, plans, and mitigation measures.
• Cyber Threat Understanding: Knowledge of different cyber threats and their potential effect on security posture.

• Advanced Threat Analysis Tools: Exposure to using tools in addition to QRadar to analyze and mitigate complex cyber threats, enhancing threat intelligence capabilities.

• Financial Impact Analysis: Experience evaluating the financial implications of security threats and vulnerabilities to support more effective security investment decisions.
