SAP EWM Consultant

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end functional design and configuration of SAP EWM to streamline warehouse operations, enhance inventory accuracy, and support material flow for manufacturing activities, while staying aligned to enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
• Lead the integration of SAP EWM with the core ERP and related modules to maintain consistent data movement, dependable system interfaces, and reliable transaction processing that supports production planning and execution.
• Deliver specialist support for SAP QM quality notifications to ensure accurate defect recording, effective root cause identification, and resolution workflows that enable continuous improvement and regulatory compliance within manufacturing.
• Oversee SAP QM inspection execution in production by defining inspection plans, inspection characteristics, and results recording to protect product quality and help reduce rework and waste across manufacturing lines.
• Create and maintain SAP QM master data, including inspection catalogs, codes, and decision rules, to enable stable quality operations, trustworthy reporting, and consistent alignment with corporate quality standards.
• Coordinate with SAP PP-PI stakeholders to synchronize batch recipes, process orders, and manufacturing instructions with warehouse and quality processes, ensuring traceability and aligned operations from raw material receipt through to finished goods.
• Work closely with business process owners across process manufacturing and industrial manufacturing domains to convert operational needs into practical SAP configurations and enhancements that deliver measurable business value.
• Manage functional testing for EWM, QM, and PP-PI scenarios, covering unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure strong system performance and reduce defects during deployment and steady-state operations.
• Provide daily functional support to hybrid working teams by reviewing incidents and change requests, proposing solutions, and implementing system changes that improve user experience and operational efficiency during the day shift.
• Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of functional documentation, including design details, configuration justifications, process flows, and user procedures, enabling project teams, support personnel, and business users to sustain and evolve the solution over time.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define functional specifications for enhancements, reports, and interfaces related to warehouse management, quality management, and process manufacturing, ensuring solutions remain scalable and maintainable.
• Drive process improvement by using data from EWM and QM reporting to spot bottlenecks, quality patterns, and systemic issues, then initiating actions that support safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Ensure functional decisions reflect the company’s purpose by promoting approaches that minimize waste, strengthen product reliability, and support responsible manufacturing practices that positively influence society and stakeholder confidence.

Qualifications

• Provide strong hands-on experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), including inbound, outbound, internal movements, and storage control, supporting complex manufacturing warehouses and hybrid work environments.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of SAP EWM integration with core ERP and other related modules to ensure consistent data integrity and transaction flow across procurement, production, and distribution processes.
• Demonstrate proven expertise in SAP QM quality notifications and production inspection processes, with the capability to create inspection plans and notification workflows that meet strict quality and compliance expectations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of SAP QM master data structures and configuration, including catalogs, codes, inspection methods, and usage decisions, to ensure stable quality operations over the long term.
• Bring practical experience in SAP PP-PI with a focus on batch management, process orders, and recipe management, supporting continuous production and alignment with quality and warehouse functions.
• Utilize knowledge of the process manufacturing and industrial manufacturing industries to interpret production conditions, safety needs, and regulatory requirements when designing SAP solutions.
• Show excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in a hybrid model during the day shift, including requirement discovery, solution walkthroughs, and user enablement.
