SAP ABAP Developer

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to spearhead comprehensive implementation, system conversion, rollout, and digital transformation initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary delivery authority, managing cross-functional workstreams, overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets, and fostering engagement among executive clients, delivery teams, and external partners. Your focus will be on ensuring flawless execution throughout the SAP Activate lifecycle, delivering strategic enterprise value on schedule, within the defined scope, and adhering to exceptional quality standards.

Key Delivery Pillars & Responsibilities

• Project Delivery & Methodology Execution
  
  

Lifecycle Management: Lead the project through all stages of the SAP Activate methodology (Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run).

Integrated Planning & Architecture: Create and manage the foundational project plan, critical path, milestones, resource distribution, and essential dependencies in close collaboration with Solution Architects.

Cross-Workstream Coordination: Oversee concurrent delivery from both Functional (Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, Asset Management) and Technical teams (ABAP, Fiori, BTP, Integrations, Security, Infrastructure).

Data Management, Testing & Cutover: Manage comprehensive data migration activities (mock conversions, reconciliation), oversee multi-stage testing (SIT, UAT, Performance, Regression), and supervise final cutover execution leading into hypercare and AMS transition.

• Governance, PMO & Executive Leadership
  
  

Steering Committee Leadership: Develop and implement a project governance framework, facilitating Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings, PMO alignment, and executive reporting.

Risk Management: Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID matrix) with effective escalation strategies.

Financial Management & Scope Control: Ensure project financial health, resource utilization, baseline scope adherence, and manage commercial change requests to enhance delivery margins.

Vendor & Partner Oversight: Lead collaborative delivery teams, external systems integrators (SIs), and third-party technology partners under a cohesive governance structure.

• Stakeholder Management & Quality Assurance
  
  

Executive Consultation: Act as the trusted delivery advisor to senior client executives (CIO, CFO, Line-of-Business VP), guiding design and requirements workshops toward approval.

Quality Assurance & Recovery Management: Uphold rigorous quality standards, architectural integrity, and documentation protocols, implementing swift recovery plans in response to schedule or delivery discrepancies.

Required Experience & Qualifications

SAP Leadership Experience: 8–12+ years of core SAP delivery expertise, demonstrating a robust record of leading intricate SAP project lifecycles.

S/4HANA Proven Delivery: Successfully managed at least one (1) full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation from kick-off to post-go-live hypercare.

Methodology Expertise: Extensive operational knowledge of the SAP Activate methodology, delivery gates, and structured SAP governance frameworks.

Technical & Functional Knowledge: Strong cross-domain experience in S/4HANA core modules, ABAP/BTP technical architectures, data migration strategies, and cutover command-center operations.

Global Delivery Experience: Proven ability to manage hybrid onshore/offshore teams, external vendors, and multi-tier project organizational structures.

Financial Acumen: Proficient in project budgeting, resource optimization, earned value management, and handling commercial change management.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud & Advanced SAP Architecture: Experience in delivering RISE with SAP / S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Migration Strategies: Practical experience with ECC-to-S/4HANA transitions using Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition (SDT) methodologies.

Professional Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, and/or SAP Certified Associate - SAP Activate Project Manager.

Scale: Previous leadership roles in large-scale enterprise or regional/global SAP transformation projects.
