Your Role And Responsibilities

As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will design, develop, and implement SAP technical solutions that enable business transformation programs. You will partner closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver SAP solutions that are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows
• Design and implement RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects
• Work with SAP modules such as S/4HANA, ECC, or other SAP landscapes
• Develop and optimize ABAP code to support performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability
• Create and improve integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and APIs
• Assist with SAP upgrades, migrations (e.g., S/4HANA transformation), and system enhancements
• Collaborate with functional consultants to convert business requirements into technical specifications
• Carry out debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production incidents
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, quality assurance practices, and established best practices
• Participate in testing efforts, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing
• Provide technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer for stakeholders
  
  

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Demonstrated experience with SAP ABAP development (typically 3–8+ years based on level of seniority)
• Strong experience in:
• ABAP Objects (OOP)
• Data Dictionary (DDIC)
• ALV Reports, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
• Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and HANA database concepts (AMDP, CDS Views)
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization methods
• Awareness of SAP integration technologies and APIs
• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience delivering work in Agile and DevOps environments
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Hands-on experience with:
• SAP Fiori and UI5 development
• OData services and Gateway
• SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Experience on SAP implementation or transformation programs (Greenfield/Brownfield)
• Exposure to industry solutions (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, HR)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation in SAP ecosystems
• SAP certification in ABAP or S/4HANA (preferred)
