POSITION DESCRIPTION

Are you a professional in Production or Manufacturing seeking to advance your career? Emerson is offering an incredible opportunity in Singapore for a Production Line Leader. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting daily manufacturing operations, coordinating production line activities, and ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. Collaborating closely with team members and supervisors, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement while delivering products that fulfill customer expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Execute workstation tasks following established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Perform in-process quality checks and confirm the quality of materials and finished products.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and safe work environment, including tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Achieve production cycle times and assist in meeting manufacturing schedules and delivery objectives.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols and promote a culture of safety actively.
• Contribute to and support lean manufacturing initiatives and activities.
• Lead the team in implementing lean strategies such as Kanban and FIFO (First In First Out) to achieve process cycle times and production goals.
• Gather and compile production data to aid continuous improvement and operational excellence efforts.
• Identify, document, and communicate any material, process, equipment, or quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
• Carry out basic cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance on automation equipment, fixtures, and tools.
• Assess the appropriateness of equipment, chemicals, and materials prior to using them in production processes.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory management activities.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment. Avoid engaging in any unsafe or negligent behaviors that may endanger yourself or others.
• Report any unsafe conditions and engage in initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, safety, and overall workplace well-being.
• Mentor and support team members to enhance their skills and maintain consistent work standards.
• Coordinate production activities within the designated cell and actively participate in workplace organization and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S practices.
• Assist supervisors with daily operational coordination and undertake other assigned tasks as necessary.

For This Position, You Will Require:

• A secondary education diploma or an equivalent blend of education, training, and relevant work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial setting.
• Ability to coordinate and support production team activities while cultivating a collaborative work atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills, including the capacity to document and convey information in English for operational purposes.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn and execute tasks across multiple workstations as business needs dictate.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a knack for recognizing and escalating production challenges as needed.
• Dedication to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Capability to perform tasks that may involve manual material handling in accordance with workplace safety protocols.
• Ability to fulfill job responsibilities that may require adherence to role-specific operational and workplace health standards, where legally permissible and job-related.

• Experience in supporting or operating automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Familiarity with quality inspection techniques, measurement tools, and manufacturing quality benchmarks.
• Participation in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence programs.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and facilitate the development of team members.
• Capability to work independently while also effectively collaborating within a team setting.
