Product Test Engineer

Job Summary

This hybrid Product Test Engineer position centers on validating sophisticated health care administration solutions built on Facets and TriZetto Elements for payer and provider clients. The engineer will plan and execute comprehensive functional and integration tests for enrollment benefit configuration and claims workflows, supporting dependable operation and regulatory compliance. Through improved accuracy, reduced processing defects, and enhanced digital outcomes, this role helps health plan members and care providers by strengthening the reliability of end to end administration processes.

Responsibilities

• Create end to end test strategies and detailed test scenarios for Facets enrollment workflows to ensure precise member intake processing and reduce downstream defects across payer and provider operations.
• Build and maintain reusable test cases and data sets for Facets benefit configuration to validate complex plan designs and improve the dependability of benefit administration for a range of health plan offerings.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for Facets claims processing to confirm correct adjudication logic and reduce claim payment errors that affect providers and members.
• Coordinate complete test cycles across Facets and TriZetto Elements modules to verify uninterrupted data flow between enrollment benefits and claims components within integrated product releases.
• Investigate production like defects and identify root causes in payer and provider use cases, then convert those insights into focused regression coverage and enhancements to test design for upcoming releases.
• Partner closely with product managers, business analysts, and configuration teams to confirm requirements and ensure test conditions accurately represent real world payer and provider scenarios.
• Develop and refine test data that reflects complex provider networks, member benefit combinations, and claim scenarios to increase test coverage and confidence in product behavior under varied conditions.
• Produce and continually improve documentation of test outcomes, defect information, and impact assessments to enable rapid resolution by development and configuration teams while maintaining high quality standards for client delivery.
• Apply payer and provider process expertise to validate compliance with business rules, contractual obligations, and regulatory expectations within Facets and TriZetto Elements solutions.
• Assist with performance and volume driven testing by simulating realistic enrollment loads, benefit updates, and claim submission patterns that mirror large scale health plan operations.
• Work in a hybrid model with implementation and support teams to review client specific configurations and share testing insights that lower implementation risk and improve customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement of test frameworks, checklists, and best practices for Facets and TriZetto Elements testing to enhance efficiency and consistency across product releases.
• Mentor junior test engineers on payer and provider workflows and on using structured test design techniques to elevate team capability and product quality.

Qualifications

• Show strong hands on experience in Facets enrollment testing with a detailed understanding of member eligibility rules, group structures, and related configuration impacts on downstream processes.
• Use advanced knowledge of Facets benefit configuration to design tests covering complex benefit hierarchies, accumulators, and cost sharing rules for a variety of health plan products.
• Apply practical experience with Facets claims modules to validate claim pricing, accumulation, and payment rules while ensuring consistency with payer reimbursement policies and provider contracts.
• Provide working experience in TriZetto Elements to verify integration points, configuration consistency, and data exchange between TriZetto tools and core Facets components.
• Demonstrate strong domain understanding of payer operations—including enrollment premium handling, benefits administration, and claims adjudication—to build realistic and business relevant test scenarios.
• Apply provider domain knowledge to test scenarios that involve provider contracting, reimbursement patterns, and network participation attributes reflected in claims and benefit configuration.
• Bring strong analytical and problem solving skills to interpret complex defects, reproduce issues reliably, and recommend regression and test coverage enhancements based on observed patterns in health care data.
