Product Analyst (1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed user stories under the guidance of the Product Lead, documenting business rules, validations, and functional requirements.
• Create wireframes for essential user journeys to facilitate discussions with business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Document current processes through business shadowing, compare them to target-state processes, and identify discrepancies.
• Evaluate existing platform capabilities and assist in process harmonisation, bringing any deviations to the attention of the Product Lead.
• Establish clear, testable acceptance criteria and perform functional and integration testing, including defect reporting and subsequent retesting.
• Utilise SQL to investigate data behaviours and troubleshoot issues related to data.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops by showcasing platform capabilities and documenting decisions and action items.
• Employ AI tools to draft and enhance user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring outputs align with business requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the Product Lead, engineers, Test Lead, and business stakeholders to implement features from initial requirements through testing and into production.

Key Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Business Analysis, with familiarity in an Agile environment using JIRA and sprint-based delivery.
• Experience in government, public-sector, or regulated systems, facilitating feature delivery from requirements to production.
• Capability to convert stakeholder requirements into functional designs and support the development process.
• Proven experience in documenting current processes, defining target states, and spotting gaps and potential improvements.
• Ability to craft testable acceptance criteria and verify functionality accordingly.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL for data queries and system investigations.
• Experience with AI tools for drafting requirements, with the ability to assess and enhance generated outputs.
• Understanding of Agile delivery processes, including story elaboration, development support, testing, defect management, and retesting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, coupled with a strong willingness to learn and incorporate feedback.

Desirable

• Familiarity with test automation tools or a desire to learn and implement them from the first sprint.
• Experience with enforcement, regulatory, licensing, or case management systems.
• Background in working with enterprise platforms and aiding in process harmonisation across organizations.
