Network Engineer (L1) – Cisco / CCNA | Tampines

Position Overview

We are seeking Network Engineers (L1) to become a part of our Network Operations team, dedicated to supporting a substantial enterprise environment.

This role involves hands-on network support and is ideal for individuals aiming to advance their careers in Cisco networking, routing & switching, network operations, and troubleshooting.

Work Arrangement

● Location: Tampines, East Singapore

● 12-month renewable contract

● 2 positions available

● This is an onsite role

● Occasional overtime or after-hours support may be necessary for scheduled network modifications, maintenance, or project tasks

● Compensatory time off will be provided for applicable overtime

Core Responsibilities

● Deliver L1 onsite support for network infrastructure and associated equipment

● Execute daily business-as-usual (BAU) network operations and assist with network projects

● Configure, install, test, and troubleshoot network devices

● Provide support for Cisco routers and switches

● Monitor network availability, performance, bandwidth, and alerts

● Diagnose and resolve issues related to LAN/WAN, VLAN, connectivity, switch, router, port, and link

● Assist with network migration, implementation, and deployment activities

● Conduct basic network configuration changes and address break/fix tasks

● Respond to network incidents and perform initial troubleshooting

● Escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 Network Engineers

● Collaborate with vendors and senior engineers for troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)

● Communicate with end users during network troubleshooting

● Support internal change requests, configuration changes, and planned downtime activities

● Work alongside implementation engineers and project managers for network deployments

● Conduct infrastructure checks and network monitoring

● Maintain network configurations, documentation, and operational records

● Adhere to established network processes, SOPs, and change procedures

Qualifications

● At least 6 months of relevant hands-on experience in Network Engineering, Network Support, Network Operations, or NOC support

● CCNA certification

● Basic hands-on knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching

● Solid understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and VLAN

● Familiarity with routers, switches, and network connectivity

● Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

● Proficient in written and spoken English

● Comfortable working in an onsite network operations setting

● Capable of coordinating with L2/L3 engineers, vendors, project teams, and end users

● Willingness to support occasional overtime or after-hours activities as required

● Banking experience is a plus but not a requirement
