MoneyLion has been at the forefront of adopting React Native and currently manages one of the most comprehensive React Native applications available on app stores. As a React Native engineer, you will join us with a wealth of experience in various facets of RN development, covering everything from state management to crafting beautiful user interfaces.
The mobile team at MoneyLion emphasizes effective communication, thorough documentation, and precise instrumentation. With a rapidly expanding user base and hundreds of thousands of daily active users, our focus lies on stability and delivering an exceptional user experience. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the overall platform, ensuring that our features perform optimally and maintain an appealing appearance. You will collaborate closely with design, product, and the broader engineering team to foster a cohesive experience for our users while upholding a robust foundation that enhances the value of the ML membership.

Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to strategize and develop new features for the MoneyLion mobile application
- Collect detailed business requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
- Create unit and UI tests to detect malfunctions
- Assist the QA team with testing and debugging
- Identify and resolve issues that arise within the app
- Continuously refine code to enhance feature performance
- Stay informed about the latest design patterns and share knowledge with the team for collective success
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a software engineer
- Proficiency in developing functional mobile applications (React Native or Native), as well as NodeJS applications (server-side)
- Skilled in Javascript (Typescript is an advantage)
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Knowledgeable about software product design lifecycles
- Familiarity with Functional Programming is a plus
- Strong communication skills coupled with a proactive problem-solving approach
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
- BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field
