Manager - Intergal Life

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled Integral Life (IL) Developer to become a vital part of our Life Delivery Management team. The successful applicant will possess significant hands-on experience in Integral Life/Life Asia, COBOL, Smart400, and IBM i (AS/400) systems, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the Life Insurance sector.

This role encompasses application development, production support, incident management, troubleshooting, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the consistent delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate business needs, investigate production challenges, and deliver effective technical resolutions.
• Develop, improve, and maintain applications on the Integral Life (Life Asia) platform.
• Provide production support, monitor application performance, and guarantee system reliability.
• Handle incidents, troubleshoot application challenges, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Support batch processing and ensure prompt resolution of production issues.
• Work closely with business users and stakeholders to comprehend requirements and implement solutions.
• Engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), covering requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Contribute to technology initiatives and strive to meet individual and team performance objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Integral Life (IL) development and production support.
• Extensive experience with Life Asia / Integral Life COBOL systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in:
• COBOL Development
• Smart400
• IBM i (AS/400)
• SQL Development
• Control Language (CL)
• Experience supporting Life Insurance applications and related business processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and application maintenance.
• Proven ability to work through the entire SDLC.
• Capability to conduct impact analysis and offer technical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A quick learner with a positive attitude and a strong ability to collaborate within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in directly managing business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with enterprise application support environments.
• Knowledge of insurance policy administration systems and associated processes.
• Experience in a global or regional delivery context.
