Data Centre Operations

The Data Centre Operations & ICC Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining the availability, stability, and compliance of Data Centre (DC) and Integrated Command Centre (ICC) services. This position entails supporting round-the-clock monitoring, coordinating facilities, managing vendors, ensuring audit readiness, and maintaining SLA compliance across various Data Centre sites.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise daily operations of the DC and ICC to guarantee high availability and continuity of services.

· Monitor ICC alerts and escalate issues promptly to the relevant resolver teams.

· Ensure the operational integrity of monitoring platforms (BMC / TrueSight, ICC tools, JMS backend) at all times.

· Coordinate operational delivery with vendors, including the logistics of parts delivery, replacements, and validation processes.

· Oversee DC facilities activities such as inspections, reporting, power checks, cabling, and monthly testing in collaboration with Chargemen.

· Ensure the availability of the DC and adherence to contractual SLAs, verified through monthly ARC reports.

· Manage JMS reporting and ensure the timely submission of operational and financial reports to the Finance department, including confirmations with PBB, Postpaid, eBay, and MBB teams.

· Maintain the accuracy of the CMDB, including updates related to server decommissioning and validation using approved tracking methods.

· Coordinate the decommissioning of servers by verifying non-use with customers and system owners before proceeding.

· Keep current DC layouts for all Data Centres and submit them for SLA and governance approval.

· Support operational and audit requirements and provide reports to customers and stakeholders as necessary.

· Manage DC/ICC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), carry out regular site visits, and ensure operational discipline is upheld.

· Supervise DC and ICC personnel, provide backup coverage, and train new team members on monitoring protocols and procedures.

Skills & Competencies

· In-depth knowledge of Data Centre operations and ICC monitoring environments.

· Practical experience with enterprise monitoring tools (BMC / TrueSight, ICC platforms, JMS).

· Exceptional coordination skills across vendors, facilities teams, and technology divisions.

· Keen attention to detail with strong documentation and audit practices.

· Ability to function effectively in SLA-driven, high-availability settings.

Experience & Qualifications

· 4–7 years of experience in Data Centre Operations, ICC, or Infrastructure Operations roles.

· Background in large enterprise or telecom Data Centre environments is preferred.

· Familiarity with SLA management, CMDB, audits, and facilities coordination.
