Manager, Integral Life Delivery Management

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Manager, Integral Life Delivery Management to oversee the development, enhancement, implementation, and support of Life Insurance applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL systems, application development, production support, and system delivery within the life insurance sector.

This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, management of full-cycle application delivery, adherence to SDLC standards, and support for initiatives critical to business operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect business requirements and conduct impact assessments.
• Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements for Integral Life applications.
• Assist with UAT processes, including support for end-of-day batch operations.
• Ensure that application delivery aligns with agreed-upon scope, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Comply with SDLC, development, security, and regulatory standards.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and application challenges within SLA.
• Assess technical impacts on interfacing systems and offer solution suggestions.
• Deliver project and system status reports to management.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing activities, mentoring, coaching, and team-building initiatives.
• Facilitate system upgrades, maintenance tasks, and efforts for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development within the Life Insurance field.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL systems.
• In-depth knowledge of:
• COBOL Development
• AS400 / IBM i
• SMART/400
• Control Language (CL)
• SQL Development
• Experience in requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and impact evaluation skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in Agile or SDLC-focused environments.
• Background in supporting large-scale insurance applications.
• Experience in leadership, mentoring, and coaching.
