Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Solution Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Solution Architect to spearhead large-scale digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes, strong consulting skills, and a proven track record in designing and implementing comprehensive D365 F&O solutions.

This position requires a strategic mindset capable of engaging with senior stakeholders, facilitating solution architecture discussions, leading fit-gap workshops, and ensuring the effective implementation of scalable, business-focused solutions. Experience in the Industrial MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) sector is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee solution architecture, design, and deployment for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) projects.
• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to grasp strategic goals and convert them into scalable D365 F&O solutions.
• Conduct solution workshops, gather requirements, and assess business processes.
• Lead Fit-Gap Analysis, solution blueprinting, and functional design initiatives.
• Create and present comprehensive Finance and SCM solution architectures that meet business demands.
• Draft functional design documents for identified gaps, enhancements, and customizations.
• Establish integration strategies and ensure the proper sequencing of integration points across enterprise systems.
• Provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Collaborate closely with business SMEs, developers, architects, and project leadership teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Advise teams on D365 F&O architecture best practices, standards, and governance.
• Support executive discussions, solution demonstrations, and transformation roadmaps.
• Manage shifting priorities while ensuring project quality and delivery timelines are met.
• Identify opportunities for business improvement and propose innovative technology solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Finance/SCM Solution Architect or Senior Functional Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O.
• Extensive experience leading client-facing consulting efforts and enterprise ERP transformation initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of integration architecture and enterprise application ecosystems.
• Extensive experience throughout the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proven success in solution design, blueprinting, and enterprise architecture governance.
• Ability to influence and effectively communicate with executives, business users, SMEs, architects, and development teams.
• Established ability to lead teams and ensure successful project execution in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Industrial MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) industry.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
• Experience with global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
• Familiarity with Azure integration services, Power Platform, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of IT strategy, digital transformation, and ERP modernization initiatives.
