Excellent Opprtunity For Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities:        

• Deliver Level 2 application and production support for banking finance, ETL, data warehousing, and reporting systems.        
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues related to batch jobs, ETL workflows, data processing, and production incidents.
• Conduct incident investigations, root-cause analyses, problem-solving, and service recovery efforts within established SLAs.        
• Assist with Informatica ETL workflows and address issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.        
• Execute database queries, perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshoot issues using Oracle, MS SQL, and/or MySQL.        
• Oversee and resolve batch scheduling processes utilizing Control-M.        
• Create and sustain Shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational support tasks.        
• Collaborate across Unix/Linux and Windows environments to investigate application and infrastructure-related challenges.        
• Provide support for banking finance operations, encompassing GL, MAS, GST, regulatory reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.        
• Work in partnership with development, infrastructure, database, vendor, and business teams to address production-related issues.        
• Conduct impact assessments and assist with deployment, release, and change-management processes.        
• Draft incident reports, technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-base entries.        
• Engage in 24x7 on-call support and ensure prompt responses to critical production incidents.        
• Maintain compliance with banking technology, security, operational, and change-management standards.

Requirements:        

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in application development or production/application support, ideally in the banking or financial services sector.        
• Extensive experience in banking finance, ETL, data warehousing, financial applications, or reporting environments.        
• Comprehensive knowledge of finance processes, including General Ledger (GL), MAS, GST, regulatory reporting, and business intelligence.        
• Proficient hands-on experience with Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL databases, along with strong SQL query capabilities.        
• Practical experience with both Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.        
• Significant expertise in Shell scripting.        
• Hands-on experience with Informatica ETL tools.        
• Familiarity with Control-M or comparable batch scheduling applications.        
• Experience supporting AS400 environments is desirable.        
• Aptitude for troubleshooting batch failures, data discrepancies, application incidents, and production challenges.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, including competency in root-cause analysis.
• Availability to participate in 24x7 on-call production support as needed.
