Job Description

Position Overview:

Located in Singapore, this role involves reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Product Cost Finance, supporting the Dyson Global Supply Chain team through financial analysis and insights that contribute to achieving the strategic goals of Supply Chain Operations, which are vital to Dyson’s overall success.

This position requires active participation in senior management decision-making processes, including attending high-level meetings and providing insights-based advisory during critical decision-making moments. Your role will involve delivering data-driven insights, summarizing financial models, and presenting various potential scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a crucial finance business partner to the Supply Chain team, offering financial guidance and support for both operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the budgeting, reporting, and analysis of Outsourced Procurement Cost Savings KPIs; proactively monitor performance against cost reduction targets and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify, evaluate, and deliver cost-saving opportunities throughout value-added manufacturing processes and Contract Manufacturer (CM) operations, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to quantify potential impacts and facilitate implementation.
  • Manage budgeting, ongoing oversight, and periodic reporting of essential supply chain cost categories, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and strong financial control.
  • Conduct regular financial risk assessments of Contract Manufacturers, identifying potential risks/issues and communicating findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Outsource Procurement teams to guarantee data quality, accuracy, and completeness of all commodity costs within the internal PDC system.
  • Work with the Product Cost team to develop and enhance data and reporting capabilities—including utilizing SQL and PowerBI—to facilitate rapid, value-added analytics that enhance cost and operational performance.
  • Continuously assess key supply chain finance processes, pinpointing areas for improvement and leading initiatives to streamline workflows, bolster control, or increase value.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial insights, variances, risks, and recommendations to Supply Chain and Finance leadership.
  • Maintain best practices in financial controllership, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA) with a strong emphasis on controllership, preferably within supply chain or manufacturing settings.
  • Significant hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel skills and adept at managing large, complex data sets.
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems) and PowerBI (or comparable reporting tools).
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying large datasets, enabling rapid and in-depth analysis, is advantageous.
  • A proven record as a proactive business partner—confident in influencing and challenging non-financial stakeholders to enhance operational performance and process improvements.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a disciplined, systematic approach to financial controls and reporting.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present analyses and recommendations effectively to both finance and business leaders.
  • Analytical mindset: capable of transforming data into actionable insights that drive results improvement.
  • Adaptable and agile, with a passion for collaborating across functions and enhancing existing workflows.
