Job Description

In the role of KYC Advisory Specialist, you will assist Relationship Managers and business stakeholders in upholding exceptional client due diligence standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and enhancing current client KYC profiles to comply with both regulatory and internal standards.
• Collaborating closely with Front Office teams on regular client reviews and remediation initiatives.
• Evaluating and validating Source of Wealth (SOW) and Source of Funds (SOF) information along with supporting documentation.
• Executing client due diligence reviews, conducting risk assessments, validating name screenings, and performing plausibility checks.
• Examining intricate client structures, including corporations, trusts, foundations, and individual accounts.
• Identifying potential risk indicators, unusual activities, and escalation triggers when necessary.
• Providing advisory support and insights on KYC and customer due diligence issues to internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, reviewing rationale, and maintaining audit-ready records.
• Contributing to governance reporting and engaging in process enhancement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate for the KYC Advisory Specialist (Private Banking) position should possess:

• Experience in KYC remediation, onboarding, periodic reviews, or KYC advisory within the private banking sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of KYC, AML, customer due diligence (CDD), and frameworks for assessing SOW and SOF.
• Capability to evaluate financial documentation and verify sources of client wealth.
• Experience in managing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client portfolios.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Adeptness in handling multiple priorities while ensuring quality and attention to detail.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, banking, business, law, or related fields.
