Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee essential IT infrastructure systems in a control room setting to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
• Perform routine health assessments on systems and networks to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Quickly respond to alerts and system irregularities, executing first-level troubleshooting.
• Assist in incident management processes, including logging, escalation, and tracking resolutions.
• Help with the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of hardware such as PCs, printers, and networking devices.
• Work collaboratively with senior engineers and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical challenges.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and maintain thorough documentation of all IT assets.
• Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of operational processes.

Requirements:

• Education: A minimum of Nitec or Higher Nitec in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: No previous experience needed – ideal for recent graduates or individuals transitioning into IT support.
• Open to working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Demonstrated sense of responsibility, commitment, and dependability.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced, operationally sensitive environment.
• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
