IT&DATA Sr. Product Analyst FP&A

Job Overview:

• Assist the Product Owner by serving as the senior functional liaison between Finance business stakeholders and SAP delivery teams, focusing on Finance Accounting and Master Data scope.
• This position safeguards and advances the Themis Finance core model by independently scrutinizing and validating functional designs, configuration decisions, integration testing, and deployment deliverables.
• It addresses the existing internal capability gap by introducing practical SAP Finance deployment expertise into the Product Team, preserving essential knowledge internally and minimizing reliance on external experts.
• This is an L8 role due to its requirement for seasoned judgment, autonomy, and the authority to validate complex tasks that have a global and cross-process impact.

Main Responsibilities:

• Outline core responsibilities, delivery operational tasks, and stakeholder collaboration duties.
• Core Responsibilities
• Convert intricate business and process requirements into clear functional expectations, user stories, acceptance criteria, and validation guidelines.
• Safeguard the Themis Finance core model by evaluating proposed changes against global design principles, harmonization goals, and long-term product sustainability.
• Offer senior functional guidance regarding Themis Core model organizational structures, finance master data, closing processes, and related end-to-end dependencies.
• Delivery Operational Responsibilities
• Ensure that delivered solutions align with business requirements, core model principles, control expectations, and agreed acceptance criteria prior to release.
• Conduct functional impact assessments across processes, company codes, master data, interfaces, and interconnected SAP modules.
• Examine defects, incidents, and enhancement requests; identify root causes and propose enduring solutions instead of temporary workarounds.
• Support deployment and integration initiatives through design reviews, testing strategies, cutover readiness, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Keep decision records and functional documentation to retain critical Themis and Master Data knowledge within the organization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration Responsibilities
• Serve as the essential bridge between Finance business stakeholders and technical or configuration teams, ensuring mutual understanding of business intent and SAP implications.
• Facilitate solution discussions, constructively challenge external partners, and clearly communicate decisions, impacts, risks, and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Finance Design Authority, DBS Record to Report and Master Data teams, other Finance Product Teams, Chapter experts, project teams, and AMS providers.
• Mentor Product Analysts and contribute to enhancing internal SAP Finance capabilities and consistent validation practices.

Technical Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience acquired through implementation, integration, or deployment projects, rather than just theoretical knowledge or support coordination.
• A robust SAP FI CO functional and configuration background, with the capability to comprehend solution configurations, evaluate proposed changes, and identify functional or integration risks.
• A thorough understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, including Record to Report, financial closing, postings, controls, and master data dependencies.
• A proven track record of reviewing, challenging, and validating functional designs, configuration choices, test evidence, and deployment deliverables from both internal and external delivery teams.
• Experience in translating complex business requirements into functional solutions while effectively communicating constraints, impacts, and trade-offs to Finance stakeholders.
• Experience in identifying end-to-end dependencies across SAP Finance and integrated modules or applications.
• Ability to operate independently, make recommendations, escalate significant risks, and act as a credible bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, project teams, AMS, and external partners.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, facilitation, structured problem-solving, and clear written and verbal communication.

Additional Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of Themis or another global SAP Finance core model.
• Significant experience with Finance Master Data, including General Ledger accounts, cost centers, profit centers, organizational structures, governance, and distribution.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or Central Finance.
• Experience with cross-module integration, particularly in SD, MM, Asset Accounting, Controlling, or intercompany flows.
• Experience in global core model governance, design authority, or multi-country deployment settings.
• Background in business analysis, SAP product management, or Agile certification.
