IT Technician

• Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and various hardware peripherals.
• Conduct routine maintenance and monitoring of physical servers, networking devices, and storage solutions.
• Oversee server backups, updates, and ensure the reliability and performance of hardware.
• Quickly respond to support requests, incidents, and outages related to hardware.
• Execute hardware upgrades and replacements according to lifecycle management plans.
• Keep precise documentation of assets, configurations, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs or warranty issues.
• Assist in IT infrastructure initiatives, including server room setups, migrations, or expansions.
• Ensure adherence to company IT policies and data security protocols.
• Provide after-hours support for critical hardware or server failures (on-call basis).

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in IT hardware and server maintenance.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, basic networking, and RAID/storage technologies is advantageous.
• Able to perform maintenance outside regular hours to minimize disruption to operations.

Technical Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of PC/laptop hardware components and peripherals.
• Understanding of server hardware, rack-mounted systems, UPS, and cabling.
• Basic grasp of networking principles (IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Proficient with backup solutions and endpoint management tools.
