ICT Trainer (Kaki Bukit/ 1 year contract)

Project Overview

• Duration of Contract: December 20, 2026, to December 19, 2027
• Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Additional Work Days: Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Location: Kaki Bukit

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and deliver ICT, Computing, digital literacy, and technology education lessons tailored for secondary school learners.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, projects, SLS packages, and maintain digital portfolios.
• Assist in delivering O-Level Computing classes and evaluate students’ progress in digital literacy skills.
• Train students on software such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Apple productivity tools, and cover topics including Cyber Wellness, responsible AI usage, Micro:bit, App Inventor, and programming languages.
• Support extracurricular activities and competitions related to ICT, Media, Robotics, Programming, Photography, and Videography clubs.
• Conduct workshops on EdTech tools and productivity software for school staff members.
• Help teachers integrate ICT into their lessons, assessments, and digital content development.
• Manage classroom technology, PDLP, AV equipment, devices, peripherals, printers, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Assist with user administration for platforms such as Apple Classroom, Google Workspace, and Student Learning Space.
• Maintain and update the school’s website using Isomer or similar content management systems.
• Record school events on video and photograph, including editing of photo and video content for various media outputs.

Candidate Qualifications

• Diploma in Information and Communications Technology, Computing, Digital Multimedia, or a related field.
• Registration with the Ministry of Education as an instructor by the ITQ closing date, with ongoing registration throughout the contract period.
• Minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience within educational institutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, educators, the ICT Team, and the EdTech Committee.

Desired Technical Skills and Experience

Experience in several of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Apple productivity applications
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and various educational web tools
• Troubleshooting iOS, ChromeOS, Windows, macOS, and iPadOS devices
• Skills in photography, videography, photo editing, and video editing
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, or Final Cut Pro
• Familiarity with content management platforms such as Isomer, Joomla, WordPress, or similar
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or SQL
• Programming experience with Scratch, C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python, Swift, App Inventor, or Micro:bit
