FHIR-Business Analyst

Job Description:

• As a FHIR Business Analyst, you will apply your healthcare domain expertise to understand, manage, and analyze healthcare data using HL7 and FHIR standards
• The role includes ETL of data to support smooth integration across diverse healthcare systems
• You will bring industry-wide knowledge and actionable insights to complex business needs in a client-facing capacity
• You will deliver insights through data analysis, develop reporting solutions, and help ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Create interface specifications, test, validate, and troubleshoot interfaces between medical information systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data solutions that improve interoperability and enable data exchange
• Ensure data quality by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving data-related issues
• Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness
• Conduct Business requirements grooming sessions to develop the product backlog and expand functional specifications for an IT solution using ALM tools such as Jira, Rally, RRC, and RTC
• Analyze business needs, define detailed requirements, and propose potential solution approaches with business stakeholders
• Document current-state (“as-is”) business processes by assessing business models, systems, and integrations with technology
• Partner with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to analyze requirements and prepare Product Backlog items
• Write user stories, define acceptance criteria for user stories, and manage the product backlog with prioritization
• Act as a liaison between Business requirements and technology solutions, including testing support for stakeholders and customers
• Expertise in software development
• Lifecycle experience and hands-on working experience with Agile methodologies and tools
• Experience leading and managing Agile projects, including Team SLAs, Operations, SOW compliance, Risks, Quality, and Budget
• Participate in account-level strategic initiatives
• Identify new growth opportunities and support proposal and solution activities
• Strong understanding of project management activities and project budgeting

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with HL7 FHIR implementation
• Experience developing interface specifications, testing, validating, and troubleshooting interfaces between medical information systems
• Deep knowledge of HL7 FHIR 4
• 1 standard for healthcare data clinical data in both proprietary and industry-standard formats HL7
• Knowledge of FHIR implementation guides such as DaVinci, CARIN, US Core, etc
• Ability to perform data mapping for clinical data from the source system to the FHIR data model
• Experience performing data mapping of source data sets to FHIR resources
• Proficiency across all phases of the System Development Life Cycle e

• gathering requirements, modeling use cases, analyzing data, developing technical specifications, resolving issues, user acceptance testing, tracking schedules and tasks, and documenting processes for training manuals
• Experience leading meetings with client business leads and cross-functional stakeholders
• Familiarity with more visual, design thinking-based, and agile lightweight approaches such as customer personas, customer journeys, story maps, etc
• Excellent soft skills with strong written and verbal communication
• Global exposure to a multi-cultural organizational structure
