Executive / Senior Executive (Shipping)

We are looking for a highly analytical, detail-focused professional to join a global team in the shipping industry. In this position, you will manage container asset responsibilities, oversee financial settlements, and support process optimisation efforts. You will also gain exposure to cross-functional operations and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage rental settlements, including invoice verification, discrepancy investigation and resolution, and ensuring timely vendor payments.

• Track outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments to maintain timely collections.

• Prepare and review reports to spot cost anomalies and propose actionable improvement recommendations.

• Assist in the development and roll-out of effective invoice processing systems and workflows.

• Handle end-to-end container equipment write-off, reinstatement, and asset disposal activities in line with company policies.

• Take part in digitalisation efforts and cross-functional initiatives aimed at automating and improving business processes.

• Provide operational support and perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies or a related discipline.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the shipping industry. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in the industry are welcome to apply.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and pinpoint opportunities for process improvement.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace experience with Looker or other data visualisation and dashboarding tools will be an advantage.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across diverse teams.

• Highly organised, meticulous and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proactive problem-solver with a strong willingness to learn, and an interest in adopting new digital tools and evolving business practices.
