Overview

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Highways Engineer to support multidisciplinary projects delivered offshore from our Bangalore, India office.

Working within a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, you will provide professional design support to our clients. This role is an excellent opportunity for candidates who want to build international experience with a world-renowned consultancy.

Your role

Responsibilities

Within the Highways team, you will handle the design and checking of a broad range of highway project-related elements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising designers and drafting staff on projects.
• Upholding technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers.
• Assisting with project delivery in line with agreed timelines and budgets.
• Communicating with clients in a responsive, customer-focused way.

About You

• Bachelor'S or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution.
• 5 to 12 years of relevant consultancy experience in UK, US, or Middle East highway projects and related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience delivering all stages of highway design, from preliminary design through to as-built stages.
• Thorough understanding of highway design codes and standards, including DMRB, AASHTO, KSA, Qatar, and UAE standards.
• Experience designing grade-separated junctions.
• Documented success in delivering highway projects.
• Proficiency in highway design software, including Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and AutoCAD.
• Experience applying quality standards and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
