Senior Java Back End Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance back-end services aimed at Credit Risk solutions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate services with global systems.
• Ensure services maintain high availability and scalability to accommodate millions of interactions.
• Continuously investigate and implement technological advancements to enhance service capabilities.
• Uphold best practices in software development, focusing on code quality and testing methodologies.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks for software development.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in back-end development using Java EE technologies (Java, application servers, servlet containers, JMS, JPA, Spring MVC, Hibernate).
• Strong skills in object-oriented programming (OOP), with an ability to analyze requirements and convert them into scalable software designs.
• Practical experience with REST APIs and proficiency in designing and developing web services/microservices in a commercial setting.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (GCP), SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL and modern database technologies.
• Skilled in software engineering tools (e.g., Java build tools) and committed to best practices such as unit testing, test automation, and continuous integration.
• Commitment to code quality, adherence to coding standards, and application of tools to enhance code quality.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for technology, a strong sense of ownership, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results.
• Solid understanding of web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, including REST, OAuth, and JSON.
