Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Design

• Create and assess electrical designs for Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical projects.
• Prepare and review:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Electrical load schedules
• Power distribution layouts
• Cable schedules
• Lighting layouts
• Earthing and lightning protection layouts
• Control and interconnection diagrams
• Carry out electrical equipment sizing and selection.
• Design HV/LV power distribution systems in line with project requirements.

2. Electrical Engineering Calculations & Studies

• Execute electrical engineering calculations and system studies using ETAP.
• Carry out:
• Load Flow Studies
• Short Circuit Studies
• Motor Starting Studies
• Voltage Drop Calculations
• Protection Coordination Studies
• Arc Flash Analysis, where applicable
• Evaluate study outputs and propose technically suitable solutions.
• Support system reliability, stability, and operational safety.

3. Engineering Deliverables

• Prepare, verify, and review electrical engineering deliverables, including:
• SLDs
• Load Lists
• Equipment Datasheets
• Electrical Specifications
• Cable Schedules
• Cable Sizing Calculations
• Material Requisitions
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Electrical Layouts
• Technical Reports
• Ensure engineering documents are accurate and released according to project schedules.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control.
