Senior Associate, Quality Engineering - Level 1

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Associate in Quality Engineering with extensive experience in functional and manual testing to assist in delivering top-tier technology solutions for our clients. Your expertise in capital markets, testing methodologies, APIs, and databases will be crucial in validating intricate trading applications throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and fellow quality engineers to identify risks, address defects, and enhance product quality. Your proficiency in testing and problem-solving will play a key role in providing reliable solutions that deliver significant value to our clients.

Your Impact:

• Develop and implement functional, manual, regression, and progression testing strategies to ensure the quality and dependability of complex applications.
• Assess capital-markets workflows throughout the trading lifecycle, including order creation, execution, settlement, and associated lifecycle events.
• Create detailed test scenarios encompassing Equities and Fixed Income instruments, such as Bonds, Bond Forwards, Futures, and Swaps.
• Conduct testing on REST and SOAP APIs by validating contracts, requests, responses, business fields, and error scenarios using tools like Postman or curl.
• Independently write and execute SQL queries to validate application and test data across relevant database tables.
• Oversee defects throughout their entire lifecycle, engage in defect triage, analyze application logs, and assist in root-cause investigations.
• Work collaboratively with developers, traders, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to finalize testing activities and facilitate successful releases.
  
  

Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of practical experience in functional or manual testing, ideally within capital-markets or trading applications.
• Solid understanding of the capital-markets trading lifecycle and experience testing Equities and Fixed Income products.
• Comprehensive knowledge of test planning, test-case design, estimation, regression testing, defect management, and test metrics.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP API testing, including validation of requests and responses using Postman, curl, or similar tools.
• Capability to independently write SQL queries with SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, and GROUP BY clauses.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams and participating in pertinent sprint ceremonies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and drive assigned tasks to completion.

• Familiarity with test automation utilizing Selenium with Java or Robot Framework with Python.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for test utilities, data validation, or basic automation tasks.
