• Proactively oversee data center operations, focusing on servers, networking devices, and storage systems.
• Track and document environmental metrics within the data center, including temperature, humidity, and power consumption, while ensuring air conditioning systems are functioning optimally.
• Uphold physical security protocols, manage access controls, and supervise CCTV and security access systems.
• Conduct visual inspections for system faults and failures.
• Coordinate logistics within the data center, such as preparing packaging for transport and organizing incoming or outgoing equipment in collaboration with Data Center Facility Management.
• Escort engineers and customers as necessary.
• Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for customers when needed.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues in line with established escalation procedures.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone and email from Operations Managers and customers.
• Occasionally return to headquarters when required.
• Maintain precise documentation of data center activities, including access logs, environmental readings, and incident reports.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• A minimum of NITEC in an IT-related field or a recognized Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or Information Systems.
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Center Operations is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong customer service orientation and a dedicated work ethic.
• Solid understanding of Data Center monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Data Center Mechanical & Electrical operations.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and network infrastructures.
• Proficient in Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
• Self-motivated and capable of independent work.
