Data Analytics Solution Architect (1 year contract)

Job Summary

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data analytics, infrastructure, and cloud solutions. Collaborate effectively with business, data, application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to create secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures that comply with both enterprise and government standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive data analytics architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, data pipelines, and analytics/reporting platforms tailored to business requirements.
• Convert business and technical specifications into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solution architectures.
• Oversee data integration initiatives, encompassing ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, governance, metadata management, data quality assurance, and data lineage tracking.
• Design solutions that span public, private, hybrid cloud, and on-premises settings, addressing compute, storage, networking, security, and platform services.
• Provide expertise in enterprise architecture for Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and MINDEF Commercial Cloud (MCC) environments.
• Set and uphold architectural guidelines for data platforms, cloud services, infrastructure, security, and technology roadmaps.
• Facilitate the adoption and implementation of cloud-native services, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Enhance platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across data and infrastructure layers.
• Ensure adherence to government security, privacy, governance, and regulatory standards, including secure data access, encryption, key/secrets management, and auditability.
• Conduct architectural reviews, technical assurance, and governance activities while mentoring engineers and effectively communicating solutions to senior stakeholders.

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale enterprise data analytics and cloud solutions.
• At least 6 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, data engineering, or related fields.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficient programming and scripting skills in SQL and Python.
• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms, especially within GCC and MCC environments.
• Familiarity with data security architecture, API integration, event-driven/streaming architectures, and platform observability.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native data services, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of machine learning, advanced analytics pipelines, and MLOps is a plus.
• Expertise in data warehousing, data lakes/lakehouses, dimensional modeling, Data Vault, and domain-oriented modeling.
• Strong grasp of enterprise infrastructure architecture, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
