Content Moderator - Japanese

Key Responsibilities

• Review and moderate content in native Japanese across multiple platforms to support market-specific content moderation and ensure cultural accuracy
• Enforce content policies with careful consideration of native Japanese linguistic nuances, slang, and cultural context
• Spot harmful, misleading, or sensitive content that is relevant to the niche Korean-speaking market
• Confirm adherence to platform guidelines and applicable legal standards
• Keep current with Korean internet trends, viral topics, and digital user behaviour
• Process sensitive or explicit content in a professional and objective manner
• Sustain high benchmarks for accuracy, quality, and productivity
• This level of expertise is not substitutable with non-native or intermediate speakers

Technical skills

• Mandatory requirement: full independence in writing, reading, and speaking native Japanese, along with a strong understanding of Korean culture, social norms, humour, slang, and regional context
• Ability to interpret meaning beyond direct translation, including tone, intent, and implicit messaging
• Competence to make accurate judgment calls on culturally sensitive content
• This level of expertise is not substitutable with non-native or intermediate speakers
• Online community experience and exposure
• Experience with collecting and managing confidential information (preferable)

Other Requirements

• Willing to work in a complete night shift environment
• This is a FTC of 12 months
• Comfortable working with explicit and sensitive content
• Able to manage high-pressure scenarios with professionalism
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
